About the Editor — Roli Jain is a scholar of Japanese language and literature, currently teaching Japanese language at the Higher School of Economics University in Moscow, Russia.
She is a Russian-Indian national, born and raised in Moscow, who completed her secondary education in the scenic hills of Mussoorie and Dehradun in India. For her higher education she returned to Russia and completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the renowned Moscow State University. Roli boasts proficiency in Russian, English, Hindi, and Japanese languages, complemented by a profound understanding of Russian, English, and Japanese literatures. Additionally, she harbors a deep affection for Indian cinema and its melodious film scores.
With experience living in both Russia and India, Roli has cultivated a sincere appreciation and understanding of the cultural, societal, and religious nuances of each nation. Throughout her life, she has always aspired to foster bilateral relations between the two countries.
Currently based in Russia, Roli often travels to India to indulge in its spicy cuisine and relish the country’s vibrant atmosphere.
