Ajmal Kamal has been editing the Urdu literary journal “Aaj” from Karachi since 1981, and the English journal of South Asian literature “City” since 2017. He runs a small-scale publishing house and a bookshop in Karachi. He translates fiction and non-fiction into Urdu and occasionally writes for Urdu and English publications and websites.
