साहित्य में आरक्षण नहीं होता
पिछले दिनों एक सम्मान समारोह में भाग लेने के लिए दिल्ली गया था। समारोह की अध्यक्षता एक प्रतिष्ठित हिन्दी दैनिक के सम्पादक कर रहे थे। उन्होंने अपने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में कहा कि “साहित्य में आरक्षण नहीं होता”। सम्भवतः उन्होंने ऐसा इसलिए कहा कि सम्मान पानेवालों में से कुछ लोग आरक्षित वर्ग से थे। हम उनसे सहमत हैं कि साहित्य में आरक्षण नहीं होता। लेकिन, साहित्य में मनुष्यता की बेहतरी के लिए अन्वेषण जारी रहता है। एक रचनाकार एक नया सच, एक नया परिवेश, एक अनदेखी दुनिया के बारे कहने के लिए निरन्तर प्रयासरत रहता है। सफलता, असफलता और लगातार अभ्यास के बाद वह छपता है और अनेक कठिनाइयों, समस्याओं को झेलने के बाद उसका संग्रह प्रकाशित हो पाता है। ऐसे में एक नवोदित कवि का पहला संग्रह प्रकाशित होना निश्चय ही उसके शुभचिन्तकों, पाठकों एवं साहित्य प्रेमियों के लिए भी एक सुखद घटना है। जसिन्ता केरकेट्टा बहुत कम समय में, अपनी सृजनात्मकता एवं सक्रियता से हिन्दी साहित्य जगत में, पहचान बनाने में सफल रहीं हैं। उन्होंने अपनी कविताओं में परिवेश-विशेष को जिस सजगता और प्रखरता से परिचय कराया है, वह कविता प्रेमियों के लिए एक नया अनुभव है। उनकी कविताओं में आदिवासी समाज का दुख, दर्द, ग़ुस्सा, आक्रोश उभर कर आया है। इसके अलावा जसिन्ता ने अपनी कविताओं में आदिवासी स्त्री की स्थिति को भी आत्मीयता से समझने का प्रयास किया है।

There is no Reservation in Literature!
I recently went to Delhi to participate in an award ceremony. The function was presided over by the editor of a prestigeous Hindi Daily. In his presidential address he said, “There is no reservation in literature!” He might have said so, because some of the decorated persons hailed from the reserved category. I agree, there is no reservation in literature. Yet, literary research continues unabated for the betterment of humanity. The creative writer always strives to comment on a new truth, a new millieu and an unseen world. After success, failure and consistent practice, that work gets printed and facing considerable difficulties that collection gets published.
All things considered, the publication of the first volume of a rising poet is indeed a delight to her well-wishers, readers and literature lovers. Jacinta Kerketta has in a short time succeeded in becoming acclaimed in the Hindi literary world due to her consistent creativity. The alertness and efficiency with which she has introduced a particular context in her verses, is a new experience to poetry lovers. Her poems effectively convey the pain, anguish and anger of the indigenous tribal society. Additionally, Jacinta has sought to empathetically understand the tribal woman’s plight through her poems.
