I will particularly recommend to the Indian readers to portions where Hollins refer certain not fully known facts of the history of Indian revolutionaries like the killing of the great Chandra Shekhar Azad whose martyrdom in Alfred Park of Allahabad was always shrouded in mystery. Writers like Yashpal and Manmath Nath Gupta have written on this episode extensively but because of obvious limitations they did not have the inputs of the other side of the fence i.e. the police. Who was the informer and how did police get the information about the presence of Chandra Shekhar Azad at the place where he was encircled and killed by police? These are some questions which any serious researcher may like to ask and generally not available in many thousand pages which were penned down as memoirs by mostly people who were revolutionaries themselves. As a reader who has spent more than three decades in Indian Police Service, I could guess the places where the author has tried to hide the details and given some vague hints but these were expected from a professional police officer who had every duty to protect the identity of his informers. Hollins has confessed in his preface that to avoid exposure of certain characters, he has changed certain names of the places and persons in the narrative.
